Meet Our Models

Every model on our site has a personal connection to The Princess Margaret, whether they’re a patient whose future was brightened by supporters like you, or someone who has made a meaningful impact on cancer research and care. Here are their stories.

A self-described cancer warrior, 13 years ago, Munira was diagnosed with Stage 3 multiple myeloma, and Stage 4 Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. At the time, treatment options were limited, and Munira faced an uncertain future. However, thanks to our supporters, The Princess Margaret’s leading-edge multiple myeloma research helped to provide her with world-class care, giving her the time to become an advocate, a grandma, and someone who lives life to the fullest.

When you see Munira throughout the site, you’re seeing the impact of life-saving research in action. Munira is living proof of what your support makes possible at The Princess Margaret.

Cancer Survivor

The appearance of a small lump on his neck with no pain and no other symptoms was Brandon’s only sign that something was wrong. After getting it checked out, he received a devastating diagnosis: Stage 3 lymphoma. Thanks to a breakthrough treatment plan from his doctors at The Princess Margaret, he is cancer-free and able to enjoy life again with his family. Brandon is now giving back, participating in Princess Margaret events and helping to raise funds for life-saving cancer research.

His story was made possible by supporters like you. Your commitment and dedication have an impact on early detection, innovative treatment and comprehensive care for patients like Brandon.

At just 20 years old, Dalia was diagnosed with Stage 3 triple-negative breast cancer while studying psychology at McGill University. Her cancer journey involved a double mastectomy, radiation, and a new form of oral chemotherapy with milder side effects. Throughout it all, she found strength and hope in the world-class care she received at The Princess Margaret. Her resilience became a beacon of hope for others — especially young patients navigating a cancer diagnosis at an early age.

As a real patient ambassador, Dalia brings a personal connection to our cause. She’s not just a model, she's also a reminder that together, we all Carry The Fire.

Wil is a passionate cyclist and has been a dedicated Ride participant for over a decade. His connection to the cause deepened after a chance encounter with a mother named Hilda. She had just lost her son after a long cancer journey, before he had been able to realize his dream of participating in the Ride. Moved by her story, Wil offered to buy the bike that her son had intended to ride, so he could cross the finish line in his honour. This heartfelt gesture marked the beginning of a powerful and lasting bond between Wil and Hilda.

Wil continues to ride each year, inspiring others to support life-saving cancer research at The Princess Margaret.
